Arthur had been contacted a week ago with a job offer; to extract from a high-profile fat cat businessman in Los Angeles, who's company was coming out with a new computer chip. A rival company wanted the specs and design of the computer chip, and thus had contacted Arthur, who was of a higher profile than Daniel, to do it.
